#1 Walk

Yes, the number one best free thing to do in NYC is this simple. Walk around this city. New York is magic, and you’re right in the middle of it! Each neighborhood has its own unique personality. New streets bring new surprises. Take in the buildings, the sights, the energy. Go walk where your favorite movie was filmed. When in New York, you must wander aimlessly!

#2 Eat a Bagel in Washington Square Park

The particular bagel matters immensely in this scenario. You must go to Russ & Daughters, a top New York experience all on its own, and obtain your preferred bagel. Take it to Washington Square Park. Find the perfect bench. Sit. Enjoy your bagel and the endlessly entertaining activity that flourishes in Washington Square Park.
